Volunteers of inexperience jugglers were separated into two groups . The samplers were 21 female, 3 male with the mean age of 22 yr ± 1.6 s.d.
They scanned the brain of both groups before any form of practice
Then they assigned samplers of the juggling group to learn a classic three-ball cascade juggling routine for three months
Whenever they can sustain juggling for at least 60 seconds, they would perform the second scan
During the three months period, the samplers weren't allowed to attempt any other types of juggling
The third scan occurs after 3 months. They found out that " learning-induced cortical plasticity is also reflected a structural level"
