  • The Representatives of the British crown first landed at New Zealand around the the upper north.
  • William Hobson arrived to bay of islands at New Zealand on the 29 of January 1840.
  • After a few days William Hobson got some help from the missionaries Henry and Edward Williams the treaty of Waitangi was drafted.
  • The treaty was reviewed over with Maori's at the Busby's home at Waitangi.
  • The treaty was approved and was signed by  40 Maori chefs and another 500 Maoris had signed copies of the treaty.
  • In the end the 6th of February is known for when the treaty of Waitangi was signed.
