  • No. The crowd doesn't want me to take it.
  • Caesar has many faults!
  • Take the crown Caesar!
  • I need to think about it Cassius. He's my friend.
  • We must kill Caesar. Tomorrow is the Ides of March. Let's kill him at the Senate.
  • Caesar has become superstitious. I will use flattery to get him to the Senate.
  • Cassius wants Brutus to join the conspirators. Cassius tells Brutus about Caesar's limitations. Meanwhile, Antony offers Caesar the crown three times. Caesar pushes it away all three times, but does want to take it. The crowd cheers for his refusal of the crown.
  • The conspirators meet at Pompey's porch at 3 a.m. There are violent thunderstorms on this night. They decide to stab Caesar at the Senate meeting. Cassius wants to kill Antony too, but Brutus vetoes his idea. Brutus said they are doing this for Rome, not to make it look like a blood bath.
