Storyboard Text

  • What art thou that usurp’st this time of night? By heaven, I charge thee, speak.
  • How now, Horatio? You tremble and look pale. Is not this something more than fantasy? What think you on ’t?
  • If I hadn't seen this with my eyes, I would of never believed it!
  • Somebody tell me why this strict schedule of guards has been imposed, and why so many bronze cannons are being manufactured in Denmark, and so many weapons bought from abroad
  • Our late king was the great rival of king of Norway, Fortinbras. Fortinbras surrendered the lands to Hamlet after he was defeated. Now, young Fortinbras is eager to reclaim these lands.
  • Ghost Enters
  • Though yet of Hamlet our dear brother’s death the memory be green and our country has mourned him, life goes on.
  • Ghost Exits
  • “Seems,” madam? Nay, it is. I know not “seems.”  Together with all forms, moods, shapes of grief, That can denote me truly. These indeed “seem,” For they are actions that a man might play.
  • Good Hamlet, cast thy nighted color off, and let thine eye look like a friend on Denmark. If it be, Why seems it so particular with thee?
  • My father’s brother, but no more like my father than I to Hercules. Within a month, ere yet the salt of most unrighteous tears had left the flushing in her gallèd eyes, she married. O most wicked speed, to post with such dexterity to incestuous sheets!
  • Oh, that this too, too sullied flesh would melt, thaw, and resolve itself into a dew, or that the Everlasting had not fixed his canon 'gainst self-slaughter!
  • Enter Claudius, the new king of Denmark. After a quick mourning of  King Hamlet, he marries the late king's wife Gertrude.
  • Enter the Queen and Hamlet. Hamlet appears to be saddened by his father's death and his mother's hasty remarriage. He remains grief-stricken while his mother and Claudius have moved on.
  • The King and Queen exit.
