Not only is the giraffes neck long but so are the feet and that allows the giraffe to run from predators faster and that's a survival adaption that keeps giraffes safe and a little safer from being eaten
Giraffes are capable of only sleeping for a span of 5-30 minutes which is used as a survival strategy because of the fact that more deaths of animals occur will they are sleeping. Plus, during this time giraffes are in herds meaning that one giraffe sleeps at a time.
Another advantage that the giraffes tall neck lets them spot any predators that are near them which avoids them from being eaten.
Giraffes have a hump in their back in which allow them to store water which is an extremely important adaption to have especially when living in hot climates because it allows the giraffe to be hydrated for a long period of time.
Both the long tongue and the long neck are a characteristic in which allow the giraffe to get the leaves off of the trees. That adaption allows them to be able to survive in the savanna because of the little resource of food for a herbivore. Their characteristics allow them to survive because there is not a lot of competition with food due to the fact that they one of the only species capable of reaching the top of the trees.
