  • You sure are right!
  • After the Agricultural Revolution
  • Off to hunt!
  • Woof.
  • Hunter-gathers existed a very long time ago. They got their food by hunting. Nomads are a well fit description for hunter-gathers. Nomads are people who don't have a permanent home, and journey from place to place. There are multiple reasons they settle around a river/water source. Some of the reasons include using the water for bathing, washing clothes, and entertainment (fishing, rock skipping, etc). Another reason is because the water attracted animals for drinking. Once the animals arrive at the river, it is easier to hunt or surprise attack them.  The hunter-gathers lived in non-permanent shelters like caves or huts.
  • The Agricultural Revolution is when the domestication of animals and agriculture (crops) was discovered.  They could use the domesticated animals for hunting, farming (gathering sheep, etc.), or just for another source of entertainment that can include playing with them. There were more sturdier structures that they could live in, and the water could be used for emergencies (fires).
  • Permanent housing was built, along with more domestication of animals. The former nomads were more familiar with their surroundings, and they could trade with nearby settlements if needed via boats. They had more access to materials, better agriculture, stronger buildings, and they could live a longer, healthier life.
