A passengers story of the crash
Jan Brown was about to give the final briefing, however she found she could not move her lips so she wet them quickly.
During the slight delay of her doing that the captain began his final announcement.
"I'M NOT GOING TO KID YOU.."
However what ever else he said was not recorded, but many passengers recall him saying it was going to be the roughest landing any of them have experienced.
For the first time in her career Jan brown had all her passenger's attention. They had a look on their face that said "Tell me what to do and I'll do it." AS soon as the captain finished she immediately started talking.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your first flight attendant. While we prepare the cabin, pay attention as we use a checklist to review some very important safety information with you. At this time, extinguish all cigarettes; bring seatbacks to the upright position; Stow all tray tables; make sure seatbelts are low an tight about you."
"Take the safety card from the seat pocket and look at the protective positions shown on the card. With your seatbelt low and tight, lean forward and grab your ankles. If you cannot grab your ankles, Cross your arms, lean forward with the palms of your hands against the seatback in front of you and press, your forehead against the back of your hands."
