The Lost Colony of Roanoke
This storyboard does not have a description.
In 1587, Queen Elizabeth I of England sent 115 colonists to the New World, hoping they would start a new life in the Americas. The English colonists settled on an island off North Carolina, called Roanoke. Sir Walter Raleigh was in control of the colony and he appointed Governor John White to set up the colony.
Eventually, after setting up the colony, Governor White has to go back to England because the English colonists don't have enough supplies to get through the winter. He knew that the colonists were in danger of hostile Indians, possible starvation, and other unnamed dangers.
I must go get more supplies! I will return as quickly as possible.
3 years later, when Queen Elizabeth finally lets Governor White come back to Roanoke, he finds that what used to be a lively colony is now completely gone with no clues to where they went except for the word CROATOAN carved on a tree.
No bones... No ashes... No blood... Where did everyone go?
