Storyboard Text

  • ADP, also known as Adenosine Tri-Phosphate, is stored energy that the cell uses for its daily operations.
  • The myosin heads then bind to the actin. Which, makes ADP release.
  • Once ADP is released, the myosin heads pull across the actin, Which causes the release of myosin  from the actin at the correct time.
  • when its time to relax, Calcium returns to the Sarcoplasmic reticulum. Which , in return, causes the muscle to relax.
  • This process is repeated. That's the Sliding Filament theory.
