Timeline Comic Book Part 1
This storyboard does not have a description.
The Earth formed 4.6 billion years ago. The evidence we have of this are rock formations that have been dated to be around 4.58 billion years old.
Early Earth was bombarded by meteors and the evidence we have are all the craters across the world.
Erosion and plate tectonics have destroyed much of the evidence of these impacts the evidence we have of this is the things around us being destroyed by erosion for example cracks in streets
C.C Patterson used radiometric dating to date the meteorite impacting 4.5 BYA. This is an example of radiometric dating.
Using radiometric dating and understanding of different rocks tells us that that meteorite that hit 4.5 BYA was made mostly of iron because its magnetic.
Adding to the fact that we can visibly see craters on the moon, some big some small, they are relatively bigger than craters on earth because meteors burn up in Earth's atmosphere.
