  • Naomi has social anxiety. She is new to town and is nervous to make new friends. She sees a group of nice-looking people but doesn't know how to approach them.
  • Thesis statement: Conformity in teenagers is important because it can make them feel more accepted and comfortable in their environment.
  • Hi! Are you new here?
  • Metaphor: "We're angels" is a metaphor because it is comparing the group to a group of angels.
  • Yeah! Don't worry, we're angels. (Metaphor)
  • Yeah... I just moved here.
  • Cool! Do you wanna hang with us?
  • Ethos: The girl is sharing a personal connection with Naomi. Pathos: Words like depressed and lonely appeal to emotions.
  • I'm not sure... I'm kind of shy.
  • That's ok! My best friend is really shy too. (ethos)
  • Yeah, we don't want you to be lonely and depressed. (pathos)
  • Studies show that making a close group of friends when people are young can decrease the risk of depression and anxiety when they're older. (Logos)
  • This is logos because it is true fact from research. 
  • OK, I guess i'll give it a try.
  • Cool! Do you want a friendship bracelet? They represent  our long lasting friendship and tight bond. (Symbolism) 
  • Hyperbole: This is a hyperbole because they are not literally family, just close friends.
  • We're not just friends, we're family! (Hyperbole)
  • Symbolism: The bracelet symbolizes the deep bond and friendship they have.
