Dr. Shelock Holmes is trying to help Helen. But Holmes knows that she is hiding something from him.
Helen is trying to get Sherlock to help her with a case of her dead sister Julia, she died, but they don't know how. No one stranggled her, no one was even in the room when it happened, but she is wearing a veil that is hiding her face Sherlock is suspicious.
Sherlock is now asking Helen about her step father doctor Roylott, and why she is wearing a veil.
Helen tells him that she is very sad and that she is to get married soon, but her father(Dr. Roylott) isn't very happy about it. He sees scratches and bruises on both of her wrists and asks her about them.
Helen tells him that Dr. Roylott is very nice, and that he didn't mean to hurt her in any way, and that he doesn't know how strong he is. Sherlock doesn't really believe this, but he lets it go for a little while until it comes up again
So the three of them start the case, and head over to Dr. Roylott's house, and try to figure things out. When they get there they got into the room where Helen is now staying in which is the room that Julia had died in.
