The plant is getting carbon dioxide from the air and soil.
When animals eat plants the carbon moves from plant to animal. Same can be said from animal to animal.
When animals breathe out, they release carbon back into the atmosphere.
Carbon moves from animals to the ground when an animals dies or uses the bathroom.
When humans burn fossil fuels at factories or use fossil fuels to heat our homes, the carbon enters the atmosphere as carbon dioxide gas.
These fossil fuels that I got from the forest soil are going to be so beneficial to us!
Oceans absorb some of the carbon dioxide that's in the air. The carbon then dissolves into the water.
