After the french and Indian war the British were in debt so they started taxing the colonies. They passed acts such as ; the tea act, the quartering act, the stamp act, and the intolerable acts. The colonists weren't very happy with this.

The colonists hated being taxed so they started to riot. One of the riots happened on Kin's Street Boston on March 5, 1770. The British got fed with the riot and tried to break it up. The riot ended bloody, with five colonists dead and three more injured. The riot became known as the Boston Massacre and became great propaganda for the olonists.
