In this picture the new baby has just been born. After 9 months of developing from a small egg inside the stomach, it can now develop into a young child.
In early stages of infancy babies start to grow their first set of teeth. This stage of growth happens at around 6 months. However your child chompers can come as early as 3 months.
Babies are all different when teaching themselves how to do things. Your baby could learn to sit up and hold itself up as early as 4 months old, or as late as 9 months old. Although we tend to not rush babies into things.
A lot of babies start to understand words as around 9 months . From then on, your baby will pick up more words around fluently speak and be able to understand them at around 18 months - 2 years.
Most babies take their first steps sometime between 9 and 12 months and are walking well by the time they're 14 or 15 months old.
Once babies have had a full year (12 months) of growing after birth they can physically do many things a developed child can do. Such as walk, speak, grown teeth and can comfortably sit themselves up without help.
