The U.S. Victory at the Battle of New Orleans brought an abundance of patriotism. We had lost a majority of battles in The War of 1812, but winning this one gave us a large sense of pride (even though the war was technically over).
Signing the Adams-Onis Treaty ceded all of Florida to the Unite States from Spain. This gain in territory sparked even more nationalism.
The invention of the Steamboat allowed for much faster travel and trade. It made people proud to be American, and proud of what we are able to accomplish.
