Storyboard Text

  • The Myth of Pyramus and Thisbe by Mia Girardi
  • Once there were two lovers, Pyramus and Thisbe, but their fathers forbid them to see each other because their families were enemies.
  • I wish we were allowed to see each other :(
  • Me too Thisbe. I wish our families weren't enemies!
  • At night, they would sneak out and speak to each other through a crack in the wall. They decided they had to meet in person and planned their escape.
  • Lets meet at the Mulberry tree in the woods!
  • We need to meet in person, i'm tired of only talking here.
  • Thisbe arrived to the Mulberry tree first, but a lion came out of nowhere and surprised her, making her escape to a cave. The lion tore up her veil.
  • AH! A lion! I have to hide in a cave!
  • Pyramus arrived at the Mulberry tree and saw Thisbe's bloody veil. He decided to kill himself because he thought his lover was dead.
  • Thisbe returns to the Mulberry tree and sees dead Pyramus. Realizing what happened, she killed herself too. The blood from the lovers turned the mulberry tree berries to purple.
  • Pyramus must have thought I died! I have to kill myself so we can die together.
  • Oh my gosh, Thisbe must be  dead this is so sad I have to kill myself!
