The kings refuses to help them again since they are "cursed by gods" They then arrive at Laestrygones and are bombarded by cannibals throwing boulders at them. Only Odysseus' ship survives. (45 men)

Odysseus' mean go to see Circe and are soon in a trance and are turned into pigs. Eurylochus warns Odysseus to leave but he decided to stay and save his men. Hermes gives him a potion so Odysseus isnt harmed by her powers. After a year they are allowed to go but on one condition.
Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis
Calypso was a minor goddess and nymph who fell madly in love with Odysseus. She forced Odysseus to stay with her on the island for seven years. Calypso was going to keep him for eternity but Odysseus wanted to go back to Ithaca so Athena helped him leave the island.
Odysseus and his crew arrive in the land of the dead and see the souls of dead soldiers that fought in the wars. The shadow of Odysseus's mother appears to him and tells him that his father has left the country and that his son and wife await his return. She also tells him that the cause of her death was a broken heart. Odysseus and his crew encounter other spirits that tell them where to go next to go back home and what they must do in order to do so.

Odysseus places beeswax in the ears of his crew to prevent them from falling into the sirens' seductive song. After they pass the sirens,Odysseus and his men encounter Scylla and Charybdis, two abominable sea monsters. Six of Odysseus's men are lost.
Driven by hunger Odysseus' men feast on Helios' cattle. This angers the sun god, to appease Helios feelings Zeus sinks Odysseus' ship with a thunderbolt. Odysseus is the only surviver.
We shouldn't feast Helios' cattle! It would anger the sun God!
We shall not pass Thrinacia! We are hungry and will feast on this cattle!
