Effect of the Agricultural Revolution
We have homes now!
Life is great!!
Before the Agriculture Revolution many years people depended on nature for their survival. Prehistoric humans were nomads. Nomads are people who have no permanent home. Men hunted animals and women gathered wild plants. When there were no more animals to hunt or plants to gather, the nomads moved to a new place.
Around 8,000 years ago a new way of providing food emerged. This revolutionary discovery was that of farming. Instead of hunting and gathering food from the environments where they lived, humans learned to simply grow their own food.
With the beginning of farming and domestication animals to feed a society, life became much easier for early humans. They started getting surplus of food so everyone was able to feed there family and there babies. And the population quickly rose. And soon everyone had homes to live at. And everybody was happy.
