on the 5th of May of June In 1617, Ferdinand II was crowned ruler of Bohemia, which led to the start of the bohemian phase.
HAHAHAHAHA! Now the throne is mine!
You'll pay for this!!!
After Ferdinand was crowned, the protestants were furious because he tried to convert them into Catholics, so the protestants, threw two of his governors out the window on May 22, 1618 and the Thirty years war began.
Can you help me?
Yes we shall help you.
At first, the protestants and the Catholics were fighting because the protestants didn't want to convert to Catholicism. There was a conflict throughout 1618 after the Defenestration of Prague.
Frederick V (Now King Frederick) had a reign over Bohemia from August 26, 1619, all the way through till the battle of white mountain. He had been coronated on November 4, 1619 and was praised by protestants.
Frederick then managed to get the help of the Roman Catholics to fight against the Bohemians to take back the land of Bohemia. Once he got their help, he set off to Bohemia to take what was his.
The battle of white mountain, which marked the end of the bohemian period, was a battle between the Catholics and the bohemians. Frederick was deposed from the position of ruler, and the bohemian era ended, Which was in 1620.
