Storyboard Description

Four lions live in an African savannah. Two of the lions explore Northern Africa and get stuck in the Sahara desert. Read as the lions evolve to a desert lifestyle and how the population develops a foothold in the desert.

Storyboard Text

  • Sahel in Southern Chad
  • Two lions travel North and get lost in the desert
  • Sahara Desert
  • The focus will be on the lion population in the Sahara desert.
  • A gazelle has gone South into Saharan Chad from Lybia
  • The lions bred to produce two lions, in a sandy den, that have mutated albinism and will grow up smaller due to lack of a minor growth hormone.
  • The left one is male and the right one is female.
  • Ten generations later
  • Some of the lions died, but all the lions left have albino genes. There is a sex-linked gene, which causes female fur to be pink
  • They have learned how to share the food they can get. This is one of the groups/prides.
  • Sixty generations later.
  • The lions are so distinct that they are a new subspecies:Panthera Leo Muhammedis
  • This is one of the prides that originated from the pride previously shown.
