Telemachus asks the old wise king how and where his father die. In reply he tells him what he knows of the Greek's return from Troy. How it started badly because of Athena's anger.
Athena caused dissension between our leader Agamemnon and his brother Menelaus. Menelaus was for setting sail immediately, while Agamemnon insisted that a sacrifice be held first to pacify the goddess. In the end, half the army left while the others remained with Agamemnon.

But Agamemnon was murdered by his wife and another man she was with. He was avenged by his son Orestes 7 years later. Than Telemachus journeys to Sparta to seek further news from Menelaus
