  • I grew up in a wealthier city, and I had hardworking parents who provided me with a financially stable life. I went to a nationally ranked school district. 
  • I am privileged for having a great high school education and for getting a college degree without the worry of student loans.
  • Today's topic: Oppression-prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or control
  • I experienced oppression from the treatment of other kids at school because I didn’t have the newest hot thing like everyone else, and I didn’t have the top brand clothing, I normally had knock offs. 
  • I also experienced oppression from people treating me like a rich girl because of the area I grew up in.
