  • Daniel's parents, Ms. Jones and Ms. Waybury, have arrived at school for their Parent Teacher Conference with Ms. Wallce, Daniel's teacher and Mr. Jamieson, the intervention specialist.
  • Earlier that week in Mr. Jamieson's classroom...
  • Hi Ms. Wallace, please come in. I am glad we have the chance to sit down and prepare for our meeting with Daniel's parents.
  •  Hi Mr. Jamieson, I thought we could talk about Daniel just to make sure sure we are on the same page.
  • Daniel's performance in English and math is below what it should be.
  • Yes, that is the result we have from screening.
  • I think the results determine that he is at academic risk. So according to RtI we should start some targeted intervention at tier 2.
  • I agree. What are some positives we can tell the parents about Daniel? I would also like to recomend some strategies to get them on board so that we can help Daniel together.
