Old Majors speech

Storyboard Text

  • Comrades, you have heard already about the strange dream that I had last night
  • "Now comrades, what is the nature of this life of ours? Let us face it: our lives are miserable, laborious and short."
  • The animals agreed to meet in the barn as soon as Jones was out of the way. Major the pig was highly regarded and the animals were eager to hear what he had to say. The animals started to enter the farm.
  • "Beasts of England, Beasts of Ireland, Beasts of every land and clime."
  • "Beasts of england, beasts f Ireland, Beasts of every land and clime, Hearken to my joyful tidings of the golden future time. Soon or late the day is coming, Tyrant Man shall be o'erthrown, And the fruitful fields of England Shall be trod by beasts alone."
  • Old Major finally gathered all of the animals in the barn. He tells them that he wishes to communicate dream with them.
  • Major gives his speech to the animals on the farm. This speech sparks the idea of rebellion amongst the animals
  • Old major tells the animals about the dream he had. In that dream he gave the animals the song "Beasts of England"
  • The noise that the animals were making in the barn had awoken Mr. Jones. He got out of bed, he grabbed his gun and shot six shots into the wall of the barn. This caused the animals to break up their meetings.
