Why is this job so hard and dangerous? We have to risk our lives for work, i once saw a kid get killed while working in a textiles factory.
During the industrial revolution kids were auctioned off to workhouses and spent some of their time with their families and some at the work house. The children were promised to get food, money, and to be turned into ladies and gentlemen.
Why are peoples feces on the road and in the gutters, why cant we just have a working toilet?
Kids had to stay into dorm rooms at the workhouses , these dorms were very cold, dirty and crowded. Over 20 kids were in each room, most of the houses didn't have a working toilet which meant that they had to there business in a bucket .
Why do we have to eat the same stuff all the time?
Kids as young as 7 had to work in extremely dangerous conditions, during the industrial revolution kids were used as workers because they were smaller and could fit into places that adults couldn't, there were no safety regulations which made these jobs dangerous.
I sent my son to work thinking he would make money but all that happened was him dying.
The kids don't deserve this
Some of the houses had a working toilet that flushed and others just had a bucket that was used by everyone living in the house. The waste would then be thrown out into the street. The houses that had a working toilet usually had a long line of people waiting to use it .
During this time London families didn't have much money which meant that the kids had to stick to the same diet which consisted of bread, pie and meat.
When parents started realizing what was happening to their kids they made a stand for them and started complaining about how bad child labor was and what it was doing to kids.
