on maple street people find out that the electricity went out and their electronics are not working. They can't get ahold of the radio.
Tommy explains how he read books about aliens and other facts, the crowd start to believe the child and suspect each other of being aliens.
Mr.Goodmans car stops working as Pete goes to the street over to make sure if their power on the street so Mr.Goodman tries to leave the street to receive answers.
Pete gets shot by Charlie as Charlie tries clearing his name of being alien he is the prime suspect in the attack in question.
Charlie uses the scapegoat tactic and decides to put the blame on Tommy after he was screamed at while the neighbors were suspecting him the entire time. Charlie tried to put the blame on Tommy because he knew the time of events which was happening before it has happened.
To conclude figure one and figure two talk about how there are many maple streets to come. Which describes that the most world killing things is our fear and fear itself.
