Francisco Bolognesi was born in Lima, The city of the kings, on november 4th of 1816. But after he and his family moved to Arequipa.
His parents were Andres Bolognesi, native of Genoa-Italy and Juana Cervantes, native of Arequipa
“TENGO DEBERES SAGRADOS QUE CUMPLIR Y LOS CUMPLIRÉ HASTA QUEMAR EL ÚLTIMO CARTUCHO”
He completed his primary and secundary studies in this city, during the school he was the best in mathematics and also he iwas nterested in the battles and the wars. Then his father died and he started to work in a newspaper called "El comercio"
In the beggining he participated in the battles of Ayacucho, Arequipa and Cuzco
But the most interesting is that he had a phrase “TENGO DEBERES SAGRADOS QUE CUMPLIR Y LOS CUMPLIRÉ HASTA QUEMAR EL ÚLTIMO CARTUCHO”and he tought about that phrase when he fought in the war.
Unfortunately Francisco Bolognesi died on june 7th of 1880 while he was defending his homeland. The peruvians remember him with a lot of pride, he and his phrase will remain forever in the history of Peru.
