- life in ancient china was hard for farmers, we were poor and were lucky to have enough food to eat. We paid taxes with our crops and labour.
- Once upon a time there lived an emperor called Qin Shi Huang Di from the Qin Dynasty
- I ruled from 221BC to 207BC. I'm rich
- He created a centralised government, created a unified language and started the great wall of china.
- But he did some bad things, he outlawed most forms of religions, ordered for existing books to be burned and scholars who were disobedient to be killed.
- The rich in ancient china ate very well, they lived in large wooden houses and were very fond of gardens.
- Women had to serve their husbands, sons and mother in law. They were treated as objects and lived in a male dominated society.
