Before he became Paul, Saul was a Roman Pharisee who used to persecute Christians. This included taking part in the stoning of Stephen, a Christian.
On his way to Damascus, he was blinded by a vision of the Lord. He remained blind for three day and was later healed by a Christian named Ananias of Damascus.
Why thou persecutest me?
He then became Paul and converted to be a Christian. He proclaimed the divinity of Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to spreading the Christian message
But not everyone was pleased with him. He was still seen as the Pharisee who used to persecute Christians. There was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him, but his followers helped protect him.
Later, along with Barnabas, they set sail on their first journey from Seleucia to Cyprus. When they arrived, they proclaimed the word of God in Jewish Synagogues.
They continued their journey. Overall, Paul has been on three missionary journeys.
