Four Score and Seven Years Ago...
We Will Not Let The South Win!!
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of The United States, was the political leader of The Union.
Thanks for all of your support. We can't do it without you!
Where are we??
Ulysses S. Grant and William Sherman were both military leaders of The Union.
What do we do now?...
The Anaconda plan, suggested by Winfield Scott, was a military strategy that would "Choke and Suffer" the south economically. They created a blockade to stop the south from trading with the world and would divide and isolate the south.
One advantage of The Union was they had a lot larger population than the south did.
One disadvantage of The North was they were fighting in unfarmilliar territory. They were so used to big cities and factories not farm land.
One disadvantage of The Union was they were very industrious so they could make more supplies and they had more money to afford to make the supplies too.
