  • Hello, is it ok if I ask you a few questions for a news anchor I am doing in 2018? Who is involved in direct democracy? Also, who is involved in your representative democracy?
  • 2018? Umm.. sure.
  • Hmm.. fascinating. 
  • Involved in the direct democracy is the government. Involved in the representative democracy are the citizens.   
  • What is the difference of direct and representative democracy?
  • The difference is that direct democracy has to do with the citizens, as I said in your previouse question, the citizen can choose what senator they want and stuff like that. 
  • The representative democracy is when citizens vote to elect representatives.
  • Good. When did both democracies begin?
  • Direct began in the 5th century and representative began in 508 BCE. 
  • Almost done. Where did the two democracies begin?
  • The citizens here in Greece vote for bills but then later decided to vote individually, as for representatives is the type of government citizens vote for representatives to create laws.
  • Why did direct happen? why is it best for representative to be used today?
  • Direct democracy is in Athens, Greece. Representative is in Canada, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom.
