Storyboard Text

  • Before Booth went to Ford's Theater, Booth had a drink at a Local Saloon before attempting the assassination.
  • Booth then entered Ford's Theater to begin his plot. Reaching the lobby, he made his way to the box suites up the stairs from where he entered.
  • Onceupstairs, Booth slipped past a Policeman by the name of John Parker. He was stopped by a White house Official who let him pass. Booth then rushed to the Presidential box seats where Lincoln was.
  • Booth entered silently into the Presidential box, took aim, and fired. The bullet entered Lincoln head slightly behind the right ear.
  • In the commotion that followed, Booth slashed Major Rathbone who was with Lincoln that night and jumped to the stage shouting "Sic semper tyrannis" meaning I bring death to tyrants. It was the state motto of Virginia. Booth then fled south.
  • Sic Semper Tyrannis
  • Lincoln was carried across the street where he later died as a result from the attack. He uttered his last break at 7:22 A.M. surrounded by his loved ones. This brought an end to one of the greatest, most influential people of American history.
