Storyboard Text

  • It took the Gods 5 tries to create the world.
  • For example, one of the gods that tried to create the world turned into a jaguar and destroyed it.
  • Once the gods had a council, a humble god, Nanauatl, volunteered to sacrifice himself to be the Sun.
  • He became the Sun but there was a problem; he wasn't moving.
  • The Gods then realised that they had to sacrifice themselves so that humans could live, so the god Ehecatl sacrificed the others. A gust of wind blew and the Sun began to move.
  • This meant that the humans had to sacrifice people so the Sun would keep moving, which is why the Aztecs performed sacrifices, in fear that the Sun would stop moving and the world would end.
