Storyboard Text

  •        Today we will learn about waves. Waves are disturbance that transfer energy from place to place.  There are many different types of waves.
  • Mechanical wave transfer energy through matter. There are two types of mechanical wave its called Transverse and Longitudinal.
  • Transverse wave where the particles of medium move at right angles to the wave. Longitudinal wave where particles of the medium move back and forth.
  • Crest is the high point and Trough is the low point. Next we will be learning reflection and the different parts.
  • Reflection is bouncing off a wave after striking a barrier. Incident wave strikes a barrier. Reflected bounces off a barrier. Normal perpendicular (90) to the barrier. Refraction is the bending of the wave.
  • Next time we will be learning about the laws of reflection and refraction. Hope you enjoy!
