Today we will learn about waves. Waves are disturbance that transfer energy from place to place. There are many different types of waves.
Mechanical wave transfer energy through matter. There are two types of mechanical wave its called Transverse and Longitudinal.
Transverse wave where the particles of medium move at right angles to the wave. Longitudinal wave where particles of the medium move back and forth.
Crest is the high point and Trough is the low point. Next we will be learning reflection and the different parts.
Reflection is bouncing off a wave after striking a barrier. Incident wave strikes a barrier. Reflected bounces off a barrier. Normal perpendicular (90) to the barrier. Refraction is the bending of the wave.
Next time we will be learning about the laws of reflection and refraction. Hope you enjoy!
