Storyboard Text

  • "What do you want me to do with this?"
  • "Here's something for you"
  • "There's nothing so humiliating as looking poor in the middle of a lot of rich women"
  • "How stupid you are! Go and see Madame Forestier and ask her to lend you some jewels. You know her quite well enough for that."
  • "Yes, of course."
  • "Could you lend me this, just this alone?"
  • After handing her the invitation to the party, Madam Loisel was not too happy due to her outfits, to which her husband gave her 400 francs in order to buy a dress of her choosing.
  • "I . . . I . . . I've no longer got Madame Forestier's necklace. . . ."
  • Her husband had told her to borrow some jewels from Madame Forestier, but little did they know how much it would affect their lives later on.
  • She had found the perfect jewel, a superb diamond necklace, to bring her outfit together and feel as rich as she ever wanted to be.
  • They were very much alike."
  • "Oh, my poor Mathilde! But mine was imitation. It was worth at the very most five hundred francs! . . . "
  • After spending the whole party feeling beautiful and rich, the night will soon come to an end with a very tragic situation that will ruin the next 10 years if their lives
  • After finally finding a jeweller that sold a necklace which resembled the one that they had lost, they bought it for 40,000 francs, severely going into debt for the next ten years
