Storyboard Text

  • It all starts with accreation, with a whispy cloud of gas and dust
  • Resulting in this flat spinning disk
  • Here occurs heating and cooling
  • Nuclear fission happens when hydrogen atoms fuse into helium.
  • When enough material collects at the center of the disk, nuclear fission begins, the sun eats a lot of it up
  • The material left behind the sun clumped up together into bigger and bigger pieces
  • These clumps became planets, dwarf planets, asteroids , comets and moons
  • Only rocky things could survive close to the sun so gaseous and icy material collected far away
  • Comets and asteroids form from the left over remains of the solar system formation
