  • During the Revolutionary War the British government forced colonists to give soldiers a bed in their home and food from their table. Colonists disliked this so much that a change was made to the US Constitution
  • Now the government can never force me to give a soldier space in my home unless Congress passes a new law
  • 4th Amendment
  • Nobody can search me, my house, or my things ...unless...
  • They can prove to a judge that they have a good reason for the search
