  • We can stand together as one! All men have been created equal, and we deserve to be treated as such!

  • The King's unfairness shall spread far and wide! The people will hear our call to rise and rebell!
  • The 3rd estate was the poorest class, who were forced to pay the largest taxes. As the price of flour increased, and the weather destroyed crops, families struggled to stay alive.
  • A Force to be Reckoned With

  • Enlightenment played a role in the revolution by inspiring the masses with the idea that they all are equals. Those who spoke out against the king often used Enlightenment ideas to back up their statements.
  • Ravenous Rabble
  • The press was crucial to spreading the news of the Revolution to people around the country. It helped the citizens rally together and kept them informed.
  • A swarm of angry women stormed the king's castle found the king and his wife in his chambers. They quickly dragged them back to Paris to face the outraged public.
  • There they are! Seize those selfish snobs!
  • Large mobs demanded tons of blood during the Revolution, and thousands of people died.
