  • The London Conference
  • AH, We have safely arrived in England. Such a beautiful place, their soup is excellent
  • Lets Not forget why we came here, for the uniting of our colonies to make a better nation
  • Welcome To England
  • During the Conference
  • We agree to!
  • Yes I agree to what if they overshadow us in the future !
  •  Hello everybody my name is Lord Carnarvon and I have a doubt. Perhaps in the future, Canada's might even overshadow Britain
  • After the Conference
  • Yes we agree, we are along with Confederation!
  • You know what, I've realzied that the Canada's would never do that to us. I agree with Confederation
  •  In December 1866, representatives of Canada, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia travelled to London to take part in a conference with British Officials to talk about the future of the colonies. (Read Comic Bottom to Top)
  • The Rules
  • I suggest that Canada has control over internal afffairs
  • During the Conference, the colonial secretary said of the Conference's work. " We are laying the foundation of a great statue... perhaps one which at a future day may even overshadow Britain . But come what it may, we shall rejoice that we have shown neither indifference to their wishes nor jealousy of their aspirations
  • More Rules
  • AH, I know, we should have control over foreign policy, this means that we will negotiate with other Countries on Canada's behalf
  • The agreement was reached easily and Canada became Britain's first self-governing dominion . Canada retained the monarchy, and its membership in the British Empire
  • 1923
  • It has been a long time ever since we made these rules but I think its time for some change.
  • There would have to be equality in the colonies, so they decided on some rules and who controlled what.
  • We need to divide the set of powers between us
  • Yes we should let Canada control internal affairs but what do we control?
  • There was a lot of rules to be equally divided, it didn't take long because the two colonies worked cooperatively
  • Yes, now the power is equal between us, there are much more rules but we will make them fair for each colony.
  • In 1923 , the conference delegates decided that Britain would still be responsible for any changes to the constitution of Canada, only at the request of the Canadian Parliament. It was not until 1982 this power was handed over to Canada.
  •  Yes , I think everybody will agree with what I'm about to say. Britain should still be responsible for any changes to the Constitution of Canada, but only at the request of the Canadian Parliament
