Fact 2: when a meteor encounters our atmosphere and is vaporized, it leaves behind a trail.....
Fact 3: The appearance of a number of meteors occurring in the same part of the sky over a period of time is called 'meteor shower'.
around 65 million years ago, dinosaurs roamed the Earth. They lived happily and got food and everything. Until one day.......
a meteor (a rock from space) came down into the Earths atmosphere as a meteorite and devasted the whole planet at around 11 km/sec to 72 km/sec (25000mph to 160000mph). This caused the Earth to completely change wiping out the population of dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were Omnivores, Carnivores and Herbivores.
short term effects are deaths and the long term effects are causes to the ozone layer and other disasters can happen and can cause the deaths to lead to species extinctions.
