Hi I'm Damon, and today Kat and I will show you the three states of matter solid, liquid and gas.
Hi, I'm Kat, today we will also talk about the kinetic energy in each of the states of matter and how their particles have kinetic energy
I'm a solid. I can be created by a freezing a liquid, or when a gas goes through a phase change called deposition, where the gas becomes a solid. The particles in a solid are tightly pack, and can't move as much.
We can also go through a phase change called sublimation, which is when a solid becomes a gas.
We can also, be destroyed by a phase change called melting. Which is when energy is applied to a solid, such as heat, allowing the solid to becomes a liquid.
We can also be made when a gas goes through a phase change known as condensations, when a gas become a liquid. The particles in a liquid are very close together but unlike a solid, we are able to move past one another.
We can be transformed into a gas by a phase change called evaporation. Which is when a liquid turns into a gas.
As you can see, Kat and I are now liquids, because we went through a phase change called melting.
The particles in a gas are able to move very quickly, and are spread apart from one another.
Now Damon, and I are gas. We went through a phase change known as evaporation, which is when a liquid becomes a gas.
