Today we will be learning about dialetic behavioral therapy, or DBT, that will help you increase mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.
What do those things mean? And how does it relate to my eating disorder?
These are DBT strategies that you can use in everyday life when you feel stressed when exposed to food. Minfulness is being aware of emotional and rational thoughts in the present moment. Distress tolerance is using skills to cope when you are feeling overwhelmed. Emotional regulation is managing your emotions.
