"In three days I will speak to the people."
Moses went to pray to God on top of the mountain after God called him to come there, while his people are at the bottom of the mountain.
"I am the Lord your God, and these are my commandments, to be obeyed by all people."
God said to Moses "In three days I will speak to the people".
"Do not be afraid of the thunder, lightning, smoke and fire."
On the third day, thunder and lightning crashed, the sky turned black, smoke and fire came out of the mountain and the ground shook. The voice of God sounded like a trumpet calling to Moses. The people were very scared.
"God has come to teach us his commandments so we can keep ourselves free from sin."
God gave Moses ten commandments which were instructions and rules of how to live and stay away from sin.
Moses went down to speak to the people to tell them to not be afraid of the thunder, lightning, smoke and fire.
