Everybody in the town has been gathered to participate in the lottery. it states that in page 28 on lines 105-110, "Just as Mr. Summers finally left off talking and turned over to the assembled villagers. Mrs. Hutchinson came hurriedly along the path to the square.
the People's name are being called, all the while the lottery is now taking place. This seems to happen because in the story at page 30 line 182, It states the following as "By now, all throughout the crowd there were men holding the small folded paper in their large hands,".
Mrs. Hutchinson is upset because she says that her husband didn't have enough time and was pressured. This is backed in the story on page 31 on lines 229 and 230, it states the following " Tessie Hutchinson shouted at Mr. Summers, "You didn't give him time enough to take any paper he wanted. I saw you. It wasn't fair!". By the sounds of this, Mrs. Hutchinson was angry and claimed it wasn't fair.
Mrs. Hutchinson is surrounded and about to be stoned to death. This happens because in page 34, line 324 where it says, " It isn't fair," she said. A stone hits her on the side of the head. Also on line 328 it states " it isn't fair, it isn't right." Mrs. Hutchinson screamed and they were upon her.
