The Taming of the Shew By Manmeet Lidher and Whitney Mensah-Willson
Once upon a time, there was a royal family. They lived in a big beautiful castle in Padua. There was a man named Baptista who had two daughters. Baptista wanted the best for his daughters, Bianca and Katherine. Bianca was the perfect woman. She was beautiful like a flower, kind like an angel and smart like an owl. On the other hand, Katherine was evil like a devil, filled with jealousy and violent like a lion. No man wanted Katherine, they only wanted Bianca. Three men to be exact; Lucentio, Gremio and Hortensio.
The three men Lucentio, Gremio and Hortensio admired Bianca. They argued about who would get her! They all marched to the castle to ask Bianca’s father, Baptista if one of them could marry Bianca. He said,” My eldest daughter must get married. Until then my youngest daughter must stay unmarried.” The men were left disappointed so they decided to leave.
Nobody likes because of you!!
Meanwhile, Bianca and Katherine were fighting. Katherina kicked and slapped her sister. She hated her sister because her father loved Bianca more. “ Daddy, she is hitting me”. Bianca ran to her father. “ Don’t worry, you are my favourite, I will always protect you,” said Baptista. Katherine stomped to her room and slammed the door shut. She began to cry, she knew she wasn’t loved.
You should marry Katherine.
Hortensio went to his friend Petruchio’s house. Hortensio was thinking about how much he wanted Bianca but his only problem was Katherine She needed to be married first. So, Hortensio suggested to Petruchio that if he wants to be rich, he shall marry Katherine. Petruchio had never thought of that. Hortensio said,” But be careful, she is crazy, try to tame that shrew.” Petruchio then said, “ Haha, that is no problem for me”.
