  • There should be a law that makes cars stop at corners so we can avoid car accidents.
  • First, a bill starts as an idea
  • I will gather some people who support this and we can call, email, or write to our Congress representatives.
  • Next, a representative can write a bill and introduce it to their chamber.
  • I like the ideas. I will write a bill and show the Senate/House. Hopefully they will like it and give it to a committee to revise.
  • Congress Representative
  • I really like the idea of having stop signs at every corner
  • After it is introduced in Congress, a bill is then given to a committee and its subcommittees for discussion and editing.
  • Yeah the amount of accidents will go down and the streets will be safer
  • Yes this is a great idea
  • Then, the whole chamber has a debate and members vote on whether they like the bill or not.
  • I agree
  • I do like the idea because lives will be saved
  • I'm not so in favor of the wording
  • What is the real agenda behind this
  • After the bill is agreed upon in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, if there are major differences, then a conference committee is created to solve any problems.
  • Conference Committee
  • We usually meet in private to write the compromise bill. We want to make everyone happy with it!
  • I like the bill, so I decided to sign it! It is finally a LAW!
  • The President
