  • All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter!
  • The three witches tell Macbeth that he will be king one day. (1.iii)
  • Lady Macbeth encourages her husband to kill King Duncan. She tells him he's a coward for thinking of backing out. (1.vii)
  • Which thou esteem'st the ornament of life,And live a coward in thine own esteem
  • Quietly Macbeth kills King Duncan. (2.ii)

  • Lady Macbeth speaks to her husband, he is now king. (3.ii)
