Storyboard Text

  • Atticus leaves to go to the jailhouse to protect Tom Robinson from the impending mob.
  • While waiting for the mob to show up...
  • Don't worry I'll try my best to keep you safe.
  • After a few moments, a group of cars pulls up to the jailhouse.
  • When Atticus leaves the house, it is vague and secretive for he is scared of his children finding out.
  • "You know what we want. Get aside from the door Mr. Finch".
  • "Jem take Scout and Dill home".
  • Atticus makes his promise to protect Tom Robinson.
  • "No, I'm not going home".
  • As the cars show up, he is even more fearful since he is now actually confronted, but he made a promise and he is going to keep it.
  • "I'll tell him you said hey, little lady... Let's clear out, let's get going, boys.
  • Threatened, Atticus feels like there is an actual possibility of something happening to him, more than before. But he still won't budge.
  • And then the children show up. Now Atticus is angry and upset because they snuck out and ran into harm's way.
  • Do you remember me, Mr. Cunningham? I'm Jean Louise Finch.
  • Atticus is relieved that the mob left, and is glad that Scout could make it happen.
