John Rolfe arrived in Jamestown Virginia where there main cash crop was Tobacco, the settlers exported the goods from the plantations in and out of the colony.
The men of Jamestown had to communicate with Powhatan Indians, when they first arrived they suffered through the staving time so they had to adventure the colony to discover any source of food.
Captain John Smith became leader of the JamestownColony. He saved the colony by making a rule that anyone who did not work did not eat. This made the colonists plant food, and build shelters and fences to protect themselves from attack. ... When he left, the colony had a ten weeks supply of food.
At the House of Burgess-es in England, a gentle man was the representative of the government.
Jamestown geography had its advantages and its disadvantages the swamp land had great soil and it was perfect for transporting goods since it had the Chesapeake bay surrounding it, but they even though they had those advantages they also had to deal with mosquitoes and flooding.
